Connecting on Equity: An Honest Conversation Between Two Leading Foundations
We invite you to view the Impact Report here: https://www.catchafire.org/impact-report/2021/

We reap what we sow, and the seeds of tomorrow start as revealing data findings that impact us all in the nonprofit sector. Join us for a discussion with two foundations leading the way in addressing equity for Black, Indigenous, and people of color organizations in Detroit and Charlottesville.

Hear from Terry Whitfield from The Skillman Foundation and Aiyana Marcus from Charlottesville Area Community Foundation as they share their Foundation’s experience learning the needs of their grantees and delivering capacity-building resources for different racial identity groups.

The session promises time to explore the shared challenges and joys with your peers as you develop first steps/continued momentum plans for your own philanthropic practice of creating inclusion and equity in your community. Catchafire knows it takes collaborative action, graceful support of one another, and conversation that presses forward to create change. We look forward to our time together and to connect on the resources and fellowship that sheds light on actionable steps for foundation grantmaking practices.
